Nala Ray Asks For Prayer After Father Sentenced To 20 Years in Prison: ‘I Feel Traumatized’
Nala Ray has asked for prayer amid a time of struggle and hardship in her life, including the death of several family members and the news that her father has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Ray, a former top OnlyFans model who became a Christian last year, made the request in an Instagram post, revealing:
I fully believe in Christ, but that doesn’t mean that life is easy. And I want to share that part of you with being a Christian and that life is just not just easy. This year I lost my brother. He passed away. I lost my sister-in-law. She passed away. And then we all lost Charlie Kirk, which was a shock. And then my dad got sentenced to 20 years in prison, which I will most likely never see him again.
Nala has previously shared that her father cheated on her mother when she was only nine years old, abandoned the family for several years, then came back into their lives. He remarried her mother and then became a Baptist pastor. However, he eventually cheated on her mother again and developed a drug problem. What is particularly messed up, however, is that after Nala joined OnlyFans, her father supported her and then encouraged her to keep on prostituting herself after she made known her intention to quit.
I had gotten saved. I told my dad this. I called him on the phone. My dad was the only person in my life that stuck through everything with me. My family had left me for the five years I was on OnlyFans.
This is, guess, why it hurts so bad. But I told my dad I was getting off and he said, ‘oh, you should probably stay on for another year, year and a half.’ I said, absolutely not.
As far as his sentence, she recounts that her father began to stalk her mom, ultimately menacing her by breaking into her home with a gun and knife, leading her mom to pull a gun on him and call 911. For this crime, and others, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
I am so angry inside. I feel traumatized. In the courtroom I heard the 911 call, like hearing my mom scream in a way that I’ve never heard her scream. I saw photos that I did not want to see. Seeing my dad decrepit and old and so different from what he’s ever looked before just traumatized me.
So I guess I’m just asking for help or prayer. Like I don’t know what to do. I feel broken right now. And I just want to be super real with the internet because being a Christian doesn’t mean life is easy. And we all make mistakes and we all deserve forgiveness. So I guess I’m just asking for pray me.

She has it backwards. None of us deserve forgiveness.
She’s a new believer and needs to be taught. Besides, context indicates she means forgiveness among people, not “we deserve to be forgiven by God.” That’s less of a faux pas than otherwise.
Nah, forgiveness is forgiveness specifically because it is not deserved. Whether it be forgiveness from others or forgiveness from the Lord. It is never deserved.
If we forgive, we forgive as a matter of submission to the Lord, not because anybody deserves it. And if we do wrong and then repent, we still don’t deserve to be forgiven. That’s what makes forgiveness forgiveness.
Don’t mistake help for bashing. She is troubled. But God is not the author of her confusion.
What she needs to remember is that is is actually sinful to pity someone who suffers the consequences for their sins. (Deuteronomy 19, etc.). Why? Well, because it’s basically telling God that He’s a bad guy. Her father did the crime, so he should do the time. No pity. And he does not deserve to be forgiven. If her mother forgives him, then that’s her business. There is no obligation unless he repents. And even then, the obligation is to the Lord (because He deserves it), not to the one who sinned.
