Undisputed Heavyweight Boxing Champion Oleksandr Usyk Shares Testimony After Victory: ‘Jesus is my Life’

Following boxer Oleksandr Usyk’s victory over Daniel Dubois on Saturday evening, making him again the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion, he shared a statement in his post-victory press conference, declaring, “I want to say thank you to Jesus Christ.”
The statement came after a reporter asked how his relationship made him a better fighter and a better person, prompting him to respond in broken english (text cleaned up a bit for clarity)
“It’s my life, because what we do now- it’s only temporary. God gives us- I don’t know how many years I will live, yeah? But now I work and in the future my life is in the sky. I pray every day, every night and morning, and evening. On Sunday, when I have the opportunity, I go to church. I take Orthodox fasting. I love this world. Jesus is my life. Boxing is great when I work hard, but God cleans my inside, cleans my soul.. Jesus Christ is alive.”
With the victory, Usyk’s record is now 24-0 with 15 knockouts.
A real man – bravo.
