Learn How to Write Like a Force of Nature with ‘Wrecking Ball’ Course (Huge Discounts Given to Protestia Insiders)

I’ve been called a lot of things over the years, but I’ve found none quite as endearing as the one bestowed upon me by a high-ranking official in Southern Baptist Convention some time about 2013. He called me a “wrecking ball” in the SBC. I had a blog, but he identified me as the single greatest threat to denominational tranquility. I was pretty excited about that. But that was far from my only accolade.
The ‘newspaper of record’ in Montana referred to me as a “political kingmaker,” largely thanks to my online news blog (it was not a glowing article, but it was the truth). Political Science professors used my website as a case-in-point in their syllabus, to discuss “the vast impact of far-right propaganda journalism and extremist rhetoric,” crediting my writing with the “Red Wave” that took the state by storm in 2020. I earned the lefties’ ire in the mainstream media, but that work earned me the “We the People Award” for cultural and political influence on the right. I realized the power of a simple blog when my first expose’ – on Louisiana College – led to their loss of 50 million dollars and their accreditation (and they deserved to lose it). That’s when the Louisiana Baptist Executive Director referred to me as “that 50 millions dollar troll.”
Love me or hate me, one thing’s undeniable: my writing gets noticed. It moves the needle. It’s directed conversations, toppled empires, and shifted entire political landscapes—all from a laptop and a shoestring budget. I founded Pulpit & Pen and Protestia, platforms that at their peak drew over a million readers a month, outpacing legacy media with their million-dollar budgets. Within 9 months, my political news site garnered more online readership than every newspaper in the state…combined. And those publications were all run with just me, and a few loyal companions. Most recently, with Insight to Incite, I’ve built a Substack that’s exploded to thousands of subscribers in just a couple months, churning out 4,000-6,000-word articles every day, six days a week.
But I’m most proud of the boys (and a few gals) that kept on going even after I spiraled into obscurity and reclusivity a few years ago, to keep most of those websites going. And some, like Jeff Maples of the Dissenter, launched out on their own, took what they learned, and succeeded.
How’d I do it? It’s not magic. It’s a method. I call it the Wrecking Ball Method—a serrated-edge, no-holds-barred approach to writing that cuts through the noise, grabs attention, and leaves a mark. And here’s the good news: I’m not gatekeeping it.
I’ve trained more than a handful of writers to wield this style, and many of them have gone on to build their own successful platforms. For me, it was never about profit motivation, but influence. And influence is one thing I’ve never lacked, thanks largely to my ability to write in such a way that makes people feel things. But so far as money goes, be forewarned that only 30% of writers make any money at all. Of those that do, only 15% make what’s considered “substantial and steady income.” And only 5% make enough money to replace a part-time job. Only 1% make enough money to replace a full-time job. I’m the 1%.
And so far as building blogs and news site go, I’ve learned to write in such a way that serves as a force-multiplier to myself, cranking out more material than entire news rooms of j-school graduates. Largely, this is because they tell lies, we tell the truth, and it takes more time to manufacture lies than to tell the truth; that’s been the key to my success in writing.
Now, I’m opening the doors again with my Wrecking Ball Writing Course, a four-hour, recorded deep-dive into the craft that gives tips to writers from someone who actually make a living doing this. And my advice isn’t about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or algorithms. It’s not about technical trade-craft or marketing tips. It’s about learning how to write well, how to write quickly, and how to get people to care what you care about. Even when my websites were shadow-banned by social media, given the shaft by fact-checking algorithms, and blacklisted by Google Adsense during the early days of Covid and the J6 hysteria, we still made a living because people went out of their way to type our website address into their search bar and seek us out.
.If you’re an aspiring writer who wants to change culture, direct movements, and make an impact that lasts, this is your shot.
Here’s the deal: it’s $400 for the general public—cheaper than the $500 I charged last time, and worth every penny. But if you’re a founding member of Insight to Incite (just $140 for a year), it’s free. If you’re already an a paid subscriber, you’ll only pay a pro-rated amount to upgrade.
Paid subscribers to Insight to Incite who don’t upgrade will get a 65% discount, dropping it to only $140 (it would make more sense to upgrade, but you do you). Over at Protestia, the top three patrons get it free (you’re still getting a better deal at Insight to Incite, because they pay more than you do to get past the paywall), and all other paid subscribers snag that same 65% discount. This isn’t some overpriced seminar from a suit who’s never written a viral post. I woke up one day to see my website on the Today Show, and remember what it was like to first ‘breach containment.’ You can, too . This is me, handing you the keys to a methodology you won’t find anywhere else.
Let’s unpack why this course matters, what you’ll get, and why writing—good writing—is the weapon you need to shape the world.
WRITING THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Let’s start with a truth most people miss: words are power. They’re not just ink on a page or pixels on a screen—they’re the tools that build movements, topple idols, and redirect history. G.K. Chesterton once said, “The word is the most powerful weapon in the world; it can start wars or end them.” He wasn’t wrong. Look at the Reformation—Luther’s 95 Theses weren’t a sword, but they cut deeper than any blade, shattering the Catholic Church’s grip on Europe. Fast-forward to today: my articles have sparked firestorms in the SBC, driven political upsets, and kept heretics on their toes for over a decade. That’s not luck. It’s the Wrecking Ball Method at work.
The world’s drowning in noise—social media hot takes, clickbait headlines, and tepid blog posts that say nothing and go nowhere. Most writers don’t know how to break through. They’re too timid, too polished, or too afraid to ruffle feathers. But culture doesn’t shift by playing nice. It moves when you swing hard, aim true, and hit where it hurts. C.S. Lewis nailed it: “We need not only to be warned, but to be wakened—roused out of our dogmatic slumbers.” That’s what good writing does—it wakes people up. It incites. It forces a reaction. And that’s what I’m here to teach you.
I’ve seen it firsthand. When Pulpit & Pen exposed false teachers, readership soared because people craved truth with teeth. When the Montana Daily Gazette targeted RINO centrists, we didn’t just complain—we strategized, struck, and won. THE “kingmaker” moniker stuck because my words didn’t just sit there—they moved voters, shaped narratives, and changed outcomes. You can do that too. But you won’t learn how from a cookie-cutter creative writing class. The Wrecking Ball Method is open-source, battle-tested, and uniquely mine—and I’m giving it to you straight.
WHAT IS THE WRECKING BALL METHOD?
So what is this method? It’s not about being loud for the sake of noise or mean for the sake of cruelty. It’s about writing with purpose, precision, and a serrated edge that cuts through the fluff. It’s polemics with a punch—writing that’s bold, unapologetic, and impactful. Here’s the core of it:
- Clarity Over Cleverness: Fancy prose is fine for novels, but if you’re changing culture, people need to get it. I don’t waste words. Every sentence lands like a hammer. You’ll learn to strip away the fat and hit the point dead-on.
- Fearless Truth-Telling: The Wrecking Ball doesn’t dodge hard topics. Heresy in the church? Call it out. Corruption in politics? Name names. You’ll master the art of saying what needs saying, even when it’s unpopular.
- Strategic Provocation: Controversy isn’t the goal—it’s the tool. I’ve directed SBC debates for years because I knew where to aim. You’ll learn how to pick your fights, stir the pot, and keep the conversation on your terms.
- Volume and Consistency: I write an article every day that takes most people a week or longer. That’s not superhuman—it’s discipline. You’ll get the playbook to produce at scale without burning out.
- Audience Command: My platforms grew because I wrote for readers, not at them. You’ll learn to hook, hold, and mobilize an audience that keeps coming back.
This isn’t theory. It’s how I built Pulpit & Pen into a million-reader juggernaut, turned Protestia into a discernment powerhouse, and launched the Montana Daily Gazette to overtake legacy outlets on a budget that wouldn’t buy a used car. Graduates of this course—like the writers now running their own gigs—prove it works. You won’t find this in a textbook. It’s forged in the trenches, and I’m the only one teaching it.
WHY THIS COURSE? WHY NOW
The world’s a mess. Churches are drifting, politics are a circus, and truth’s under siege. We need writers who can swing the Wrecking Ball—people who’ll wake the sleepers, challenge the liars, and steer the ship. George Orwell said it best: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” That’s you, if you take this course. A revolutionary with a keyboard.
Most writing courses peddle the same tired advice: “Find your voice,” “Write what you know,” blah blah blah. That’s fine for journaling, but it won’t change a thing. The Wrecking Ball Method is different—it’s a weapon, not a hobby. I’ve spent 15 years perfecting it, and I’ve got the scars, successes, and subscriber counts to prove it. You can’t get this level of training anywhere else because no one else has done what I’ve done. I’m not some academic or a corporate consultant—I’m a guy who turned words into a battering ram and built an empire with them.
Consider Insight to Incite. Across its platform, the rate of free subscribers who upgrade to a paid account is somewhere between 5 to 10%. Insight to Incite enjoys almost a 60% upgrade rate. Likewise, almost 98% keep their subscriptions, once they pay to subscribe, far higher than average. Why? It’s supply and demand, and the supply of good material is really low.
The course is four hours, recorded, and packed with everything I’ve learned. We’ll cover:
- How to craft a 6,000-word polemical commentary that doesn’t lose steam.
- Techniques to make your writing sharp, memorable, and impossible to ignore.
- Strategies to grow a platform from scratch and dominate your niche.
- Real-world examples from my own work—hits and misses—so you can see it in action.
You’ll walk away with a blueprint to mirror my style and adapt it to your voice. Whether you’re a Christian fighting the downgrade, a political agitator, or just someone who wants to be heard, this is your toolkit.
RESULTS
The Wrecking Ball Course isn’t cheap talk. Last time, I charged $500, and it sold out. Graduates took what they learned and ran with it—some built blogs, others broke into journalism, a few even stirred their own controversies. One former student told me, “You didn’t just teach me to write—you taught me to fight with words.” That’s the goal.
This course isn’t for everyone. If you want to write fluffy devotionals or navel-gazing poetry, look elsewhere. The Wrecking Ball Method is for:
- Aspiring polemicists who want to take on heresy, corruption, or cultural rot.
- Writers hungry to build a platform that matters.
- Anyone who believes words can still shake the world and wants to prove it.
You don’t need a degree or a big following—just a willingness to learn and a fire in your gut. I started with nothing but a laptop and a point to make. You can too.
THE POWER OF WRITING, UNLEASHED
Writing isn’t just art—it’s influence. Edward Bulwer-Lytton said, “The pen is mightier than the sword because it can reach the heart without shedding blood.” My pen’s drawn blood—figuratively—and it’s changed hearts too. I’ve seen readers wake up to church scandals, voters flip elections, and movements take root because of what I wrote. You can wield that power. But it takes more than passion—it takes skill, strategy, and a method that works.
Culture’s begging for writers who’ll stand up, speak out, and strike hard. Chesterton again: “A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it.” Be alive. Write like it.
