Wife of Angolan Missionary Beau Shroyer Formally Charged With His Murder

Three and a half months after Angolan missionary Beau Shroyer was killed in a murder-for-hire scheme allegedly orchestrated by his wife, Jackie Shroyer, she has been formally charged with his death and will stand trial in Angola.
Beau Shroyer was a Detroit Lakes Police officer, pastor, and married father of five. He and his wife, Jackie, moved to Angola three years ago to work as missionaries for SIM USA, where they focused on sharing the gospel with and ministering to children and youth.
According to the Angolan Criminal Investigation Services, Jackie Shroyer, the “mastermind” behind the killing, offered 23-year-old Isalino Kayoo, 22-year-old Gelson Ramos, and 24-year olf Bernadino Elias, the latter who was the couple’s security guard and who is alleged to have been having an affair with Jackie, $50,000 to murder her husband and frame it as a robbery-gone-bad.
Troy Easton, the pastor of Lakes Area Vineyard Church, where Beau and Jackie were members before they left for their missionary work, shared with the congregation:

According to Lakes Area Radio:
“As an American accused of a serious crime in Angola, Jackie will be subject to Angolan law and procedures. In Angola, the judicial system operates under Portuguese civil law, a framework that places a strong emphasis on judicial rather than jury decisions. This means that instead of a jury trial, Jackie’s case will likely be heard by a panel of judges who will assess the evidence and decide her fate. Angola’s legal system also typically includes extended pretrial detention, meaning Jackie could face a long wait before her trial officially begins.
If convicted, Jackie could face severe consequences. Although Angola abolished the death penalty in 1992, the country’s laws allow for life imprisonment in cases of serious crimes such as murder. Her role as the alleged mastermind in a high-profile murder-for-hire plot only adds to the gravity of the situation. She has the right to request consular assistance from the U.S. Embassy, though the Embassy’s role is limited to ensuring fair treatment and cannot influence the judicial outcome.”

Charge her with 2 counts of mudsharkery, and 1 count of mudsharking with intention to kill her husband, and then with murder.
It’s unfortunate, but this poor guy appears to have been a complete simp. Had to be. It’s reported he gave the knife used in his murder to the guy who murdered him with it as a gift. Perhaps his wife suggested he do that? Well, she didn’t want to leave Angola, so there she is.
