Church Of England Under Fire For THIS High-Paying, Super-Woke Job Posting

The Church of England is under fire after posting a job advertising for ‘Head of Racial Justice Priority.’ The salary is double that of the average parish priest.

The chosen candidate’s job, according to the Diocese of London, will be to spearhead and oversee the creation of a “more racially just church,” and includes some of these laughably woke qualifications:

Foster a culture within the Diocese of London that is built on love, fairness, equity, justice, collaboration, and integrity
(Be) a collaborative leader who is comfortable and confident in speaking truth to power
Facilitate learning that allows for greater understanding of the injustice and impact of racism
Track record of delivering successful outcomes in relation to equality, diversity, inclusion, culture and ways of working within large, complex and challenging institutions
Break down mental, cultural, and institutional barriers that exist within the diocesan structures, policies, and processes to engender true race equality
Give greater attention to ‘truth telling’ that seeks to address the historical legacy of slavery and challenge systemic racism

The job, which no white straight person will ever receive, pays the equivalent of $88,559 USD, compared to the average priest’s salary of $42,084. Unsurprisingly, it seems to be the money that has many Anglican priests in a tizzy, rather than the ludicrous role, with PCN reporting:

“Catholic priest Ed Tomlinson wrote: ‘Salaries like this are an insult to hard working and often under valued clergy.”

Rev Marcus Walker who is rector of St Bartholomew, The Great Church in the City of London, said the Diocese of London has a £5million deficit (and that) “Dioceses can’t wave deficit-riddled accounts at parishes, demanding over £100,000 in parish share, and then pull this kind of salary out of nowhere.”

Earlier in the year, the denomination, which has become a gay-affirming trainwreck of bad theology led by even worse leaders, hired a ‘Deconstructing Whiteness Officer,’ a part of the Diocese of Birmingham’s Racial Justice Unit.

As far as which persons will be prioritized for the position, the job advert notes:

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage (GMH), women, disabled people and LGBTQIA+ community are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those in these groups with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.”
