What I think is the larger story is how are these properties owned? We have a TD Jakes molded church here in my rural area. Lady false preacher has two large RV’s sitting out front, has a private plane and owns the largest house in one of the most expensive areas in town. Who owns the house? The church’s corporation does. The church is tax exempt. Does the false preacher pay the property taxes, insurances and utilities? Nope. The church does. The data is easy to find in many jurisdictions because like our county, it has a public website that you can type in the address and there is all the information and you can view the property deeds.
