“I Am Not So Convicted” Karen Swallow Prior Doubles Down on Attending Heretical Festival
Last week, we shared that prominent critic of evangelical boogymen, Karen Swallow Prior, was announced as a speaker at the Wild Goose Festival, taking her place at the storied event that is half-part Burning Man and half-part Harrowing of Hell, populated by heretics who’d just as soon smoked weed rolled in bible pages than preach from it.
Since its inception, the Wild Goose Festival has garnered a reputation as a hotbed of heresy, attracting both budding and seasoned progressive “Christians” who have cast off the boundaries of traditional beliefs. The festival’s lineup reads like a who’s who of wild-eyed heretics and pagan witches, almost entirely populated by those who claim Christ and then revel in the blasphemies and doctrines of demons.
If it involves punching Jesus in the face and urinating on his limp body, metaphorically and theologically speaking, they’re all lined up with brass knuckles and 32oz Stanley water bottles filled to the brim.
Yet Swallow is right along with them, giving a talk on “Evangelicalism and Social Imaginaries” while across the hall, other speakers are teaching why the scriptures say it’s ok to be in a polyamorous relationship, finding the divine in magic mushrooms and psychedelics, how to be a better pro-abortion activist, why the Bible is fake and can’t be trusted, and why God is a non-binary entity who prefers she/her pronouns (Those are real lectures)
When pressed about how she could attend this event in good conscience, given it’s a blaspheme-fest, Swallow completely misses the point of concern, offering:
Clearly, Swallow doesn’t care about prohibitions against such associations, which would essentially consists of nearly every speaker.
But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:11-13
This is not a matter of attending a Christian conference with other Christians who disagree on secondary or tertiary issues, but attending a ‘Christian conference’ where half of the people openly repudiate primary issues and really, really hate Jesus despite pretending to love him.
For this reason, Protestia will donate $2500 to a (biblical) church of Karen’s choice if she gets up on stage during her message at the reprobate Wild Goose Festival and prophetically rebukes the false gospel and countless heresies being insisted upon by enumerable false teachers at the event, calling them out by name for their evil deeds and exposing them for the two-fold sons of hell that they are.
Because we can’t think of a single biblical reason to go to such a wretched and blasphemous event if you’re not going to do at least that, unless you’re not as far away from them as people think.

Am I the only one here who thinks that KSP is actually a man? Just look closely without assuming this is a woman we’re seeing. It’s so common these days how do we know? It would explain so many things about her agenda.
You are not alone in your suspicions…
I do not like it when people say that a woman is actually a man. Here appearance can be explained. There are always trends in men’s and women’s appearance. There are always trends that are, objectively speaking, unattractive, yet, for various reasons, men, women, boys and girls conform to them.
All that to say, I have noticed a trend among certain women who hold to similar thinking and theology–and who are both subtly and overtly anti-biblical Christianity and anti-Judeo-Christian values. It combines a anti-feminine appearance, and an intentional “I am going out of my way not to be attractive” look, combined with some level of bitterness toward men and the “patriarchy.” I think that explains this, rather than declaring she is a man.
There is no such thing as ‘Judeo-Christian’ values. Christianity is wholly separate from Judaism; do you recall Paul admonition to the Judaisers in Galatians ??
Moreover, no Jews were involved in the formation of the United States of American. This is yet more nonsense foisted upon the Church courtesy of Dispensationalism and Darby and Scofield . 🤨
Don’t forget the Illuminati and Bilderburgs and the Martians 🤔
That’s like saying that Jews and Christians have no values in common, that there is no such thing. It’s impressive how many erroneous and nonsensical things you crammed into one comment.
Q: Would you tie Chinese and Christians together since we share values such as work ethic, education, family, and modesty? Shouldn’t we then say that we uphold Atheist-Judeo-Christian values? But wait, there’s more …. Muslim’s hold tenaciously to good works and morality. We must incorporate them in light of our common values … Muslim-Atheist-Judeo-Christian values. There we go. Wait, buddist also have some great values that we share in common … shall we add them too?
James’ critique of dispensationalism as the error that ties Jews and Christians together as the 2 people of God is food for thought. Jesus clearly began a New Humanity with new hearts capable of actually following God. Why would the new humanity tie their values to fallen Jews? Israel is a great military and economic ally, and we should be thankful for their role in redemptive history, but in no way is Israel a theocracy with which Christians should share a common following of God.
I’m sorry but your remarks are downright bizarre. You contort and bend over backwards to make up a non-existent problem, and then find a way to blame this non-existent problem on Darby/Scofield/Dispensationalism (of which you clearly know very little, and/or you are in error in more than one way)? And who said anything about America? Who said anything about Judiasers? What did Paul say in Ephesians about hostility, especially the dividing wall of hostility?
Oh man, you have exposed yourself to biblical ignorance. The dividing wall of hostility in Ephesians is referencing the prejudice and animosity that existed between unsaved Jews and Gentiles. Once saved, they both belong to the New Humanity, one people in Christ, so the old animosities of the unsaved world must go away. It is not some sort of tearing down of the dividing wall between unsaved Jews and Christians, nor is it signaling some sort of shared value system between unsaved Jews and Christians. Unsaved Jews and Gentiles are in Adam, whereas the saved are in Christ. There are no saved Jews, only those in Christ are saved. There is no shared value system between the saved (those in Christ) and the unsaved (the world). Poor interpretive take on that one M. And I have an in depth understanding of Darby/Scofield/Dispensationalism, having studied it thoroughly at DTS. Thankfully, post-DTS, the study of other Biblical systems (primarily amillennialism) dispelled the dispensational errors that so many can’t break free from due its cult-like appeal and following.
@Ian; so many problems in what you wrote, and this won’t let me reply directly to you. First, to be clear, James’ “critique” is not food for thought, but an egregious error. Not just because he rejects Dispensationalism, fine Christians do this all the time, but because of where this actually leads, and the error and ignorance he (and others) has often displayed in these comments, particularly about Darby, interpretation of Scripture, etc (more on this below).
“Judeo” (i.e. Judeo values) is a reference to *Scripture* (the OT), and the values therein, which, of course, are relied upon by Christians. These values may or may not be believed by some Jewish people, but that has nothing to do with the values that come from the OT, which also mesh with the values in the NT. Not sure how this could be so warped and confused by you, or anyone else.
Christians, of course, derive there values from both the OT and NT. When it comes to Christians and to religious Jews, both share the same written Scriptures in the OT, from which they get these values. And, of course, Christians also have the NT, and the fulfillment of the law. But that does not negate the value of the OT (e.g. the Ten Commandments; the Pentateuch; the prophets; etc), or the values both draw the OT (Gen 2:23-24). And the writer’s of the NT, and especially Christ Himself, frequently quote and rely on the OT to support their words in the NT. To somehow contort this into Chinese values, and such (atheism; Islam), is stunning and appalling.
In addition, the New Covenant (including the promise of a new heart) was given to the fallen Jews, and to all of fallen humanity. More specifically, God makes this New Covenant “with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.” Not only that, this is an “everlasting covenant” / “eternal covenant.” So-called “Replacement Theology” is as aberrant as they come.
To be clear, no one is saying Jews (many/most) are walking in the light today, and personally hold to Christian values. No one is saying that today’s Israel is pleasing to God in their beliefs and behavior (speaking in generalities, of course, not of each person).
Also, if you were sufficiently taught and are familiar with the ideas, then you know that Darby/Scofield is not at all where Dispensationalism started. You should be familiar with the people and actual sources in the early Church, and beyond, and any books today that detail this. You should also know that Darby/Scofield are often falsely accused of making this up. You should also know that the tyrannical Catholic Church would not let anyone teach or hold to anything non-Catholic, including Dispensationalism, and, therefore, it is exceedingly difficult to find open sources of this during the CC’s main reign (largely up to the Reformation). You also would know that the so-called Reformers (a broad term) still held to many Catholic doctrines, including in their eschatology. You should also know that Darby is frequently and falsely accused of getting these ideas from Margaret MacDonald, and that bizarre stories are told about all this. You should also know that these lies and fallacies are then used to deceive others regarding “Dispensationalism,” and used to scoff at and diminish the reality of all that this entails. And you should know that people like JD and his ilk have been duped by these falsehoods, and then spread these errors and falsehoods, all while thinking they are correcting error. You should also know that, while wonderful people have differing views on eschatology, certain falsehoods here (in Dispensationalism and the various teachings on end times) cause real harm to real people, including the Jews, and often lead to anti-semitism, both in beliefs and behavior. And I see some of that here on these comment sections.
Lastly, you should know that the truth here is ignored, not responded to, scoffed at, personally attacked, and, of course twisted.
What a stupid thing to say.
I’m sure her cats love her
@M: I can’t speak for David, but I think you’re on the wrong site here with your pro-Dispensationalism. Unless things have changed dramatically, this site held to more reformed doctrine, away from the cultish deception of Dispensationalism.
If you are sincerely defending Darby and Scofield you should dig a little deeper. It’s easy to find out who they were and who funded them.
@Carl, Please look deeper and at least read what I wrote about all of this. In other words, “Dispensationalism” was hardly started by them, and it was believed and taught from the beginning. (there are plenty of quotes and resources) In quite the irony, I find anti-dispensationalists to never have done their due diligence, never (at least in my experience). They frequently/mostly and perhaps always buy into the Darby lie, without having studying this for their own. And that is usually their main weapon! And they will rarely acknowledge this obvious error that is objectively quantified as a lie/error. To make things worse, they go on to do ad hominems, such as “cult” and “cultish”–so please read what I wrote above (in the more lengthy comment).
