Oklahoma Representative Files Bill Requiring All Classrooms to Display Ten Commandments
(Koco) An Oklahoma state representative filed a bill Friday to require schools to display the Ten Commandments.
Rep. Jim Olsen, a Republican, filed House Bill 2962 to require every public school classroom in the state to hang a “durable poster or framed copy” of the Ten Commandments in a “conspicuous place.”
If passed, schools would be required to have the Ten Commandments in every classroom at the start of the 2024-25 school year.
In June, a group called the Oklahoma Advisory Committee on Founding Principles, which includes several religious leaders, made recommendations to the Oklahoma State Board of Education. Those recommendations included hanging a copy of the Ten Commandments… to continue reading click here.
