Gallery of Churches Gathering for the Pandemic in 2020. A Retrospective
On April 7th, 2020, we started a series documenting faithful churches gathering for Sunday service in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, at a time when the whole world was shutting down. This is back when there were only a handful of churches daring to gather- a small fraction, and even then half of them were doing drive-in services, which would frequently result in arrests or fines from the police and law enforcement, and shame and scorn from their local communities.
These were dark times for many, and yet still, the saints gathered. As we conclude this year’s gallery, and prepare for the next round, we wanted to look back and honor the faithful.
